The west half of Raytheon’s Waltham facility remained a development puzzle for many years, plagued by too little on-site parking and 60-year old 2-story buildings with very deep foot-prints. Our proposed site plan, which is now under construction, was to remove a 2-story 80,000 SF building to provide parking in the right location, and to leave a building with 100’ leasing depths for office or R&D use. We developed the grading and preliminary landscape plan, and also solved the problem of preserving an existing ground-water purification system in place, by making a independent building of a fragment of the demolished structure.
