This 4-building project has been designed as a “40-B” development on a “back site” in Tewksbury boarding on wetlands and a railroad line. The three-story wood-frame buildings are built over a parking garage, to satisfy the towns covered parking garage and to minimize the open on-site parking. The 39 unit L-shaped buildings form an entry space and back up to the wetlands.
A number of alternative design approaches were explored, including one with more modern Loft-type buildings to appeal to young professionals.
