The stepped plan and elevation of this 150,000 SF building allows for extra corner offices for the managers of the insurance company for which it was built. The simple use of stone and dark brick bands emphasizes the horizontality of the building, and lightens the mass of the wall between the window bands. The uniform use of these materials around the perimeter, saved sufficient funds to allow for the subtly curved entrance.
